Speaking after the prize giving Paul McNamara from Incognito, who awarded the prize on behalf of the Association, said: "the racing between the 40.7s at this year's Scandia Cowes Week was incredibly close, this prize was closely fought and the crew of Tarka are deserved winners, thanks must go to the sponsors of this prize for their support for the Association and for providing a special prize for charter crews".

40.7, Tarka sponsored by PWC Strategy has won the Cowes Week 2008 Corporate Charter Yacht Prize organised by the 40.7 Class Association.
The prize, sponsored by Frontline Sailing, Impression, EMG and H2Snow was awarded by the Class Association in Shepherd's Warf after racing on the last day of Scandia Cowes Week 2008.
To be eligible for the prize yacht's had to be corporate charters with a maximum of 3 professional crew on board, the remaining crew members being clients. It was awarded to highest placed 40.7 yacht (excluding 1st/2nd/3rd places) after 7 days of racing (Saturday 2nd Aug– Friday 8th Aug).
